Prayers Answered

Prayers Answered

image-20On August 31, 2016, Joy FM broke ground on its first permanent structure at the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds in Winston-Salem, NC. For more than a year, Joy FM had been praying for a way to convert its flood-prone tent space into something that would allow the station to do more for its listeners and the 400,000 community members who attend the Dixie Classic Fair each year.  Prayers answered!

It quickly became apparent to everyone at Joy FM that God was at work. Every door that needed to be opened was opened.  Fairground representatives were both gracious and eager to help with the space…all that was left was finding that special partner who could turn our vision into a reality.  That’s when our friends from Latham’s Custom Fence stepped in.

After speaking with Daniel Britt, Justin Latham committed to seeing the entire project through.  Justin and his crew got to work; they masterfully designed a multi-purpose space that incorporated one of the Fairgrounds’ more iconic features–a beautiful garden area with a spectacular carving made from a Great Redwood, which had been donated by California.  The final addition of a gorgeous black fence was the cherry on top.

Our prayers were answered in a really big way thanks to God, the Fairgrounds, and our faithful friends at Latham’s Custom Fence.  We hope that you will visit with us at the Dixie Classic Fair (Sept. 30 – Oct. 9) and share in this blessing.  Also, if you would, please take a moment to reach out to Justin and his team to let them know how much you appreciate their support of Joy FM.

Blessings,

John Long
