Joy FM remembers Kyla Rowland for her extraordinary contributions to southern gospel throughout her career. At 9 years old, she gave her heart to the Lord and went on to become a prolific songwriter in southern gospel with more than 2,000 published songs. In 1993, her song “There Rose a Lamb” received both the GMA Dove Award and the Singing News Fan Award for Song of the Year. Her other well-known hits include “One Scarred Hand,” “Royal Descendant,” “He’s Still On The Throne,” “Wall Of Prayer,” “I Rest My Case At The Cross,” “God Handled It All,” and “Did I Mention,” among many others. We know the Lord will continue to work through her music.
