I’ve heard it said that an army marches on its stomach. I’ve also heard that the key to a man’s heart is through his stomach…that I can confirm. When it comes to fundraising, there is no greater love than when someone lays down a big plate of hot food and says, “Dig in”.
In my opinion, food is an international language meant to communicate love, friendship, and respect. The hospitality of others, even toward strangers, often begins and ends with food. The same can be said for families, as well. When we think about the love of our moms and grandmoms, it common to describe that love in relationship to the food they made for us. Food is love.
On behalf of every staff member and volunteer who faithfully serves during Joy FM’s Fundraising Celebration, we say, thank you…thank you to the countless businesses, churches, and individuals who provide the hearty fuel that keeps us going. #YouAreLoved.
