Dear Friend,

When you hear…Faster than a speeding bullet!  More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound…” does anything come to mind for you?  Serious brownie points if you thought, “Moms!” but this particular reference describes Superman. We live in a world that can quickly leave us feeling helpless and fearful. Maybe that is why superheroes help us to feel safe, comforted or at the very least allow us to escape reality for a little while. And really, who doesn’t think a little kid just looks so cute in a superhero costume?

Joy FM is here daily to remind you that you can conquer fear. You are never alone and deep within you resides courage to fight another day.  Our prayer is that everything you hear on this station is louder than the day’s breaking news, whispers of doubt, angst or lack of courage.

In the book of Joshua we see how God calls on Joshua to lead the Israelites across the Jordan River and take possession of the Promised Land. I love what God says to Joshua in chapter 1, verse 9:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

We hear so often from listeners who share with us that they heard just the right message at the right time. Your support of Joy FM makes it possible for God to touch the hearts of listener’s right when He knows they need it the most, as we share hope and encouragement like the story God weaved through Joshua’s life and his obedience.

The theme for Joy FM’s Fall Fundraiser, set to begin October 8, is Be Brave. You will hear powerful stories from people who are choosing to live out our theme. God is working to transform hearts and lives. We trust that with your help God will provide for our goal of $686,000, enabling Joy FM to continue reminding you, your family and friends that God is bigger than your fear.

Your gift of $150, $250 or $600 will help build our Challenge Fund and encourage other listeners to call in with gifts to match yours, as we work together to impact His Kingdom. When you partner with Joy FM you are the superhero, friend. Your support means that others can hear powerful songs with lyrics like this from the Gaither Vocal Band:

“Because he lives I can face tomorrow; Because he lives all fear is gone;
Because I know he holds the future; a
nd life is worth the living just because he lives.”

Sadly, few if any of us are untouched by news that has the potential to shake us to our very core.  A cancer diagnosis, the death of a loved one, loss of a job or a dissolved marriage…all earth shattering events that leaves us feeling gripped with anxiety and despair. Your Joy FM exists to inspire people to live passionately for Jesus Christ no matter their circumstances. When you give to this station, you lock arms with us.  Together we remind a community of friends that they are safe in Christ.

We get it!  There are lots of worthy ministries asking for your support. I hope I can impress upon you the magnitude of how your gift allows us to reach thousands of people every day, as they find Joy FM through their car radio or tune in using their phone, Alexa or Google Home device.

Please prayerfully consider what amount you will give to help with our Fall Fundraiser.  The truth is only 4% of those who listen ever give.  Your gift of $150, $250 or $600 will be doubled as other listeners come alongside you to encourage others to be brave and fight through fear.

Send in your Challenge gift by October 5, and it will count toward the Challenge Fund. You can also give safely and conveniently on-line at www.joyfm.org. Should you have questions, call us at 877.321.3811.

Reality is this world is a scary place and there are way too many tragic events occurring with what seems like even greater frequency.  Your support could never matter more as together we encourage each other to have courage in the face of uncertainty.

Thank you, friend. We look forward to hearing from you. And we know that along with your generous financial support we can count on you to pray with us that God would use what is heard on Joy FM to bring hope and peace to those seeking solace.

Courageously His,

Daniel Britt
